Bring your family and friends to cheer on KY middle school students as they compete in the 2024 National Civics Bee, an initiative organized in partnership with The Civic Trust of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. The National Civics Bee is aimed at encouraging more young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities.

Hammons will be presented with the award during the 2023 Women’s Initiative Annual Breakfast, sponsored by PNC. Taking place Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023, the event – now in its 14th year – is themed “Stronger, Wiser, Better Together,” encouraging attendees to reflect on the lessons learned during the height of the pandemic and explore why we must come together and work together as a community to reach goals collectively.
Now in its eighth year, the Women’s Initiative Regional Summit supports professional women in all stages of their careers including young professionals, mid-career and senior-level professionals and entrepreneurs. “Passing the Mic: Empowering Ourselves & Others” is the theme for this year’s event which will focus on professional development and mentorship. Each of this year’s speakers will help guide attendees through their career goals by providing the tools that they need to mentor themselves and those that will follow them.
The Business Impact Awards are a celebration of the success and strength of our Northern Kentucky business community, the Business Impact Awards presented by Huntington Bank, recognize businesses - small and large, new and long-standing, who are IMPACTING our Northern Kentucky Community through innovation, creativity, strong business practices and leadership. Finalists in each category are listed below - all finalists will be recognized, and winners will be announced, at the event.

Outstanding Women of Northern Kentucky Awards (OWNK) is celebrating its 40th anniversary! The OWNK Awards is sponsored by St. Elizabeth Healthcare, and will be held May 23rd at Turfway Park. This award honors women who exemplify notable achievement, outstanding service in their professions or to the NKY community, and the qualities of personal integrity, perseverance and leadership.
