In 1963, the four Daoud brothers pulled together enough cash to purchase Hamburger Heaven in Cincinnati, Ohio. Along with burgers and fries came a recipe for Cincinnati-style chili. In 1965, they added flavor to the recipe with their secret 13-spice blend, changed the restaurant’s name to Gold Star and a chili legend was born. We challenged the template of typical back then and have been defying the status quo ever since. At Gold Star, we are unafraid to question convention and to venture beyond established boundaries. We are different and proud of it. Different solves problems. Different reinvents. We march confidently and unapologetically to the beat of our own drum. Always have. Always will.
