From its first event in 2017, BLINK’s founding team sought to nurture a sense of community and connection through public art. They came together, a collection of creatives, entrepreneurs, local artists, art enthusiasts and arts supporters, wanting to show Cincinnati what a future city could be – through an unforgettable art experience. They also wanted to show the world what Cincinnati had to offer, to solidify it as a hub of creativity, forward-thinking conversations, and aspirational ideas. Light was the medium. It is fundamental to the human experience. It connects us all. It can illuminate a path toward inclusion and possibility. What they didn’t know was how much connection it would drive. How it would light up a city, the humans within it and become a beacon of light for our city and beyond. Now in its fourth iteration, BLINK has become more than a gift to the city. LouVino opened its first Restaurant & Wine Bar in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2014, simply aspiring to be a place you could enjoy a nice glass of wine with amazing food in a hip yet relaxed atmosphere without a pretentious feel. Since then, we have taken our southern inspired cuisine to four locations across Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. Locally owned by Endeavor Restaurant Group, LouVino features an inspired menu created by renowned Chef Tavis Rockwell whose signature dishes include his Brussels sprouts salad, fried chicken tacos and loaded tots. Memorial Hall is conveniently located in the heart of the revitalized arts district of Over-the-Rhine. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, this exquisite venue overlooks Washington Park, and is neighbor to Music Hall, the Transept, the School for Creative and Performing Arts, and the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. Memorial Hall also houses a special collection of artwork and artifacts of local civic and military history. More than 40 pieces are on display throughout the building, including the storied wreath that is said to have adorned Abraham Lincoln's casket when it passed through Columbus, Ohio. Other pieces previously on display are under the care of the Hamilton County Public Library and the Cincinnati Museum Center.
